Spaghetti Bolognese
Delight in the hearty flavors of our Spaghetti Bolognese, featuring a rich, savory meat sauce simmered to perfection and served over tender spaghetti for a comforting classic.
INGREDIENTS
• 8 oz (225g) spaghetti pasta
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 carrot, finely chopped
• 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
• 8 oz (225g) ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
• 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp dried basil
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tbsp cannabutter
• Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
• Fresh basil leaves for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat before adding the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the cannabutter to the skillet before adding and breaking up the ground beef, allowing it to cook through until brown
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper and allow the sauce to simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Serve the Bolognese sauce with the spaghetti, garnishing with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
TIPS
• Use a mix of ground beef and pork for a richer, more complex taste.
• Add a splash of red wine while cooking the meat to enhance the sauce's depth and richness
