Crispy Hash Browns

Get ready for golden, crispy perfection with these irresistible hash browns, the ultimate side dish that's crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside

INGREDIENTS

• 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and shredded

• 3-4 tbsp cannabutter

• 2 tbsp regular unsalted butter

• 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

• Salt and pepper, to taste

• Fresh herbs like parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Peel the potatoes and use a box grater or food processor to shred them.

  2. Place the shredded potatoes in a bowl of cold water to remove excess starch. Drain and squeeze them thoroughly in a clean kitchen towel to remove as much water as possible.

  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cannabutter, melting it before coating the pan evenly.

  4. Add the shredded potatoes (and chopped onions if desired) to the hot skillet in an even layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  5. Lightly press down on the potatoes with a spatula to form a solid layer. Let them cook undisturbed for 5-7 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.

  6. Once the bottom is crispy, flip the hash browns in sections using the spatula. You can add extra cannabutter around the edges to melt and further crisp them up.

  7. Let the hash browns cook for another 5-7 minutes until both sides are crispy and golden.

  8. Sprinkle with fresh herbs like parsley or chives for added flavor before serving hot with your favorite condiments like ketchup, hot sauce, or a dollop of sour cream.

TIPS

• For perfectly crispy hash browns, squeeze out as much moisture as possible from the potatoes before cooking

• Flip the hash browns gently and only once to maintain a crispy, golden-brown crust
