Cinnamon Roll

Indulge in heavenly warmth with these gooey cinnamon rolls, boasting buttery layers, perfect cinnamon-sugar blend, and a decadent cream cheese icing.

INGREDIENTS

Dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed

  • 1/4 cup cannabutter, melted

  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 large egg

Filling:

  • 1/2 cannabutter, softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup cannabutter, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2-3 tbsp milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the melted butter and beaten egg to the yeast mixture. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until a dough forms and then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.

  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size. In another bowl, mix together the cannabutter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon for the filling.

  4. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 16x20 inch rectangle before spreading the filling evenly over the dough and cutting into equal slices and rolling them into the roll shape.

  5. Arrange the cinnamon rolls in the pan with space between them before covering with a damp cloth and letting them rise for another 30-45 minutes.

  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.

  7. Prepare the cream cheese glaze by beating together cream cheese, ¼ cup cannabutter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until thick to drizzle.

  8. Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over them while they're still warm.

  9. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving and enjoying responsibly.
