Cinnamon French Toast
Indulge with Cinnamon French Toast, a deliciously spiced and elevated twist on a classic breakfast food that’s perfect for a relaxing morning
INGREDIENTS
• 4 slices of thick bread (brioche, challah, or sourdough are great
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
• 1 tbsp cannabutter, melted
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
• Pinch of salt
• Butter or oil for cooking (optional, non-infused)
• Maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar (if using), and salt. Mix until well combined.
Melt the cannabutter and add it to the egg mixture. Stir well to incorporate.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. If desired, add a small amount of regular butter or oil to lightly grease the pan.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Let the bread soak for a few seconds to absorb the mixture, but don’t let it get too soggy.
Place the soaked bread slices on the preheated skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve the French toast warm, topped with a drizzle of maple syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, and fresh berries if desired.
TIPS
• Use day-old bread for the best texture as it soaks up the infused egg mixture without getting too soggy
• Dust with cocoa powder or cinnamon for a decorative and flavorful finish before serving
• Store leftover cannabis-infused French Toast in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat gently to maintain potency
